Walking Llangynwyd to Margam Park

Yesterday was another Glorious day, the weather was absolutely wonderful, just right for a nice walk in the country side.With such wonderful countryside on my doorstep with such easy access it would be a shame not to make the most of the day and the weather.

The walk took me from Llangynwyd to Margam Park taking in part of the forest and the reported site of a historic battle field (according to some sources)

Taking from the walk, I believe that this drown tree would make an excellent oil painting. Yet another for me to work on. It is nice to now be in a position where I have more landscapes to paint than time!!

Castell Coch - Walking

Well this morning may be the last walk for a little while in light of the weather. So this morning I walked around the Sir Henry Burgess Trail above Castell Coch. 
I honestly did not Realise it was so.... "up hill" my legs are defiantly burning now :)

Looks good and I cant say that I have produced much art work with buildings or structures. I think I will be challenging myself with this one.
But one thing at a time! I need to finish The Lady Falls and "The Dipping" Bridge at Merthyr Mawr

Louise Collis - South Wales Artist

I met Louise recently on a visit to Cardiff Bay, Louise was displaying her work at the Norwegian Chapel in Cardiff Bay.
I enjoyed Louise work and have been following her on Facebook. Louise paints on location, something I unfortunately not in a position to do.

Looking for a new landscape

Well this morning I though I would take a nice little walk in the forest of the Bwlch above Treorchy.

Unfortunately at this time of year I don't think the light was right

However it was a very good walk! So the current thought is either

The Bridge in Myther Mawr 

It has more of an autumnal feel just right for this time of year and the light looks better.......
