It seems that as the summer draws to an end I have more time on my hands for my paintings.

To get ready for my new works I have revamped my Website;

I currently have two works in progress, both of which are Autumn Trees.

Two very different techniques have been employed to create these works.

1. Pallet Knife

Thick layers of oil paint have been added to the canvas to create the current back ground for a Birch Grove with sunlight through from behind the trees Autumn leaves pending

2. Thin layers of Oil Paint

Oil Paint which has been greatly watered down with turpentine looking to create a colourful impressionist art work

Well its been a little while since I last posted ....

I guess this living by the Seaside has too many distractions to allow me the time, well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Following on from my Southerndown painting, I thought I would like to carry on the sea theme.
After all I see the sea on a daily basis so it is forming a big part of my life now!

Well Its been over a year since I last painted properly and posted the results.

So having moved to my new apartment in Porthcawl by the sea I have started painting again

First painting interminably is a seascape from just down the coast at Southerndown

Storm Coming

As the weather this week has been a little moody to say the least I though that I would produce a work to reflect this. After spending a little time working on this last night (05/05/2015) I though I was going to get wet taking the dog (Tequila) for a walk, It wasn't even raining!

High Tide at Dawn at Monknash

Following a morning walk around Monknash at high tide, dawn one morning a week ago, I have taken several photos and am now attempting this for the first time. So here goes.....
